Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 19, 2026
This policy explains how Jay Rice Author and the private Jay Rice YouTube Intelligence System v3 handle information, including information obtained through YouTube API Services.
Website information
The public Jay Rice Author website is currently an informational site under active development. It does not currently offer public user accounts or paid subscriptions. As those features are added, this policy will be updated before they are placed into public use.
Jay Rice YouTube Intelligence System v3
Jay Rice YouTube Intelligence System v3 is a private desktop analytics application used by its owner to analyze YouTube channels that the owner explicitly authorizes. It is not offered as a public analytics service.
The application uses YouTube API Services, including authorized YouTube analytics and reporting data, to retrieve channel and video performance information needed for analysis. The application is designed as a read-only intelligence tool and does not publish, edit, or delete YouTube content.
Information accessed and stored
- Authorized YouTube channel identity and public channel/video information.
- YouTube Analytics and Reporting data made available to the authorized account, such as views, watch-time-related metrics, traffic sources, search terms, and other supported performance data.
- OAuth authorization information needed to maintain the connection. Refresh tokens are stored securely using the Windows Credential Manager rather than in the application database.
- Analytics records and application-generated observations are stored locally on the owner's Windows computer in the application's local data store and backups.
How information is used
Authorized YouTube information is used only to provide the application's channel analytics, diagnostics, reporting, recommendations, exports, and related owner-requested functions. The data is not sold to advertisers or data brokers and is not used to build advertising profiles.
Sharing
The application does not provide authorized YouTube data to the public. Data may be processed by service providers required to operate the authorized Google and YouTube APIs and by tools expressly selected by the owner for the owner's own analysis. Any future material change to data sharing practices will be reflected in this policy before that use begins.
Revoking access and deleting local data
The owner may disconnect a YouTube connection within the desktop application. Google authorization can also be revoked from the Google Account security permissions page. Local application data and backups can be deleted by the owner from the device where the application is installed.
Google and YouTube policies
The application uses YouTube API Services. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. The application is intended to comply with applicable Google and YouTube API terms and developer policies.
Security
Reasonable technical controls are used to protect authorized information, including local-first storage, secure credential storage, HTTPS when communicating with API services, verified database backups, and channel-scoped access controls.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Jay Rice Author website and related applications add features. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
